Who is Ian Maclean ?

Astronomy for beginners, Space Science, Aboriginal Astronomy, The constant dance of the planets plus the Galaxies, Nebulas, Star Clusters and binary stars of deep space are just some of the facets of astronomy that drive my passion for discovery.

I write regular articles that are published at EzineArticles where I report on the latest happenings in the night sky and share my experiences under the clear night skies of Arnhem Land NT and beyond. On my nightskysecrets blog nightskysecrets.com subscribers can access photos, Maps and more that I often post to compliment my articles.

I host a weekly radio science program “The Science Hour” on 106.9 GoveFM, on a whole bunch of Astronomy, Space Science, General Science & Environmental topics.
The best of these shows are available as podcasts at AskTheScienceGuru , down loadable to your MP3 player via the RSS feed, or you can simply listen to them on the AskTheScienceGuru Page.

My astronomy presentations for the Public, School and Private groups, are a regular event in Arnhem land NT Australia, where I weave my special interest of Aboriginal Astronomy, into my night sky tours.

I am honored to have received a Paul Harris Fellowship from Rotary for my work throughout the Arnhem Land community in astronomy and science education.
